CONTESTS

Contests make the Harvest Fair even more fun! Read below for all the contest details, and be sure to enter one (or many) and win amazing prizes! Be sure to scroll all the way down the page - we have a LOT of contests!! The entry deadline for ALL CONTESTS is Saturday, September 19th at 11:59PM.

Are there PRIZES for the contests ?

FAME & BRAGGING RIGHTS !! Which are huge ! Your friends will be impressed. We will have brag-worthy digital certificates honoring your accomplishments !

Do I have to live in Hopewell to enter a contest ?

No. But if you've never been to Hopewell, the bragging rights will not mean so much. So while there are not specific geographic lines, this is intended for folks who either live in or have a strong connection to the greater Hopewell Valley area. This is a great opportunity for neighbors who have moved away to reconnect with the fair !

FREDDY'S FRIENDS TAKE OUT THE TRASH !

Contest now closed.

Winners announced Sat 26 Sept !

Freddy, like so many of us, is under quarantine this year, so sadly you will not find him, nor his friends, roaming the empty fairgrounds on Sept 26. However, they are all at cozy at home, and try as they might, they still have chores. Including taking out the trash.

Are you a friend of Freddy’s? If you are, show us your COSTUMED BEST on trash day!!! Since we can’t be everywhere at once, we will have to ask you to enlist the help of a friend of family member to catch you in the act on camera! Still photos are fine, but videos are fun too if you really want to strut your stuff as you waltz to the curb.

To submit your COSTUMED CHARACTER entry, you will be able to submit up to two digital files, at least one of which must be a photo. Your second file may be a video or 2nd photo to give the judges the best possible view of your costume! And remember it must be evident from the picture that you are, indeed, actually TAKING OUT THE TRASH. And there are, of course, BONUS BROWNIE** POINTS if you get a pic WITH the trash collectors and/or truck!

Costumed Characters will be judged under the following categories. Entries may be from an individual, but families are also invited to enter as a team. Bragging rights for these high honors will be HUGE and we will make you internet famous! Well, throughout the Hopewell Valley, at least.

• Most Stunningly Sensational

• Most Radically Ridiculous

• Most Cleverly Created

• Most Family Fun

Most standard image file formats will be accepted (JPG,PNG,GIF,BMP,TIFF,WEBP etc)

Please only submit photos and videos suitable for publication on our website and on social media.

**NOTE: There are no actual brownies involved.
