Greetings, Hopewell Valley Residents!
For many of us in the Hopewell Valley, Fall isn’t the same without the Hopewell Harvest Fair! The 2017 Hopewell Harvest Fair is going to be just fantastic, thanks to the hard work of some super volunteers.
This mission of the Hopewell Harvest Fair:
The Hopewell Harvest Fair is a volunteer community event designed to provide a day of fun and entertainment for the families and friends of the Hopewell Valley.
It is held annually for the purpose of uniting community groups, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals toward the common goals of community celebrations, entertainment, recreation and fundraising.
Through the generosity and cooperation of area businesses and community members, the Hopewell Harvest Fair has been successful in achieving its goals since 1987.
The Hopewell Harvest Fair bylaws, policies, and related documents can be viewed at the Hopewell Public Library, 13 East Broad Street, Hopewell.
In addition to a day of entertainment under our big tent, you’ll find all of your favorite family activities, including hay rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, country’s games, face-painting, a straw maze to explore, and local food vendors and farmers showcasing their goods. Plus, there are contests for everyone: a bake-off, homegrown vegetable contest, kids’ art, photography, and even a doggie dress-up contest for our furry family members.
Freddy has returned to the Fair for the Find Freddy contest. Freddy and his friends will return to wander the grounds of the Fair again this year. It’s fun and it’s your chance to win some great prizes! Read more about Find Freddy and our other contests in this year’s Almanac or here.
The Fair wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our wonderful group of volunteers. Every activity and event at the Fair has been organized by a volunteer. Thanks so much to each and every one of you!
“Thank You!” to the local businesses and organizations whose support makes the Fair possible. Make sure you take a few minutes to walk through Business Alley, where you can meet many local business owners. And don’t forget to check out Green Lane to learn more about Hopewell Valley’s sustainable businesses and nonprofits!
Did you know that the Hopewell Harvest Fair is a fundraiser? All proceeds from the event go to our Grant Program, which has donated over $200,000 to local nonprofit organizations over the past twenty-six years. Many are present at the Hopewell Harvest Fair in our Exhibitors Row, so please also spend some time visiting with them. Our donations wouldn’t be possible without your attendance, so thank you for your support!
